Tim Lancaster

Tim  Lancaster joined Mid-South Sports prior to the 2017 football season. He is a Fayetteville native and graduate of Terry Sanford High School. In high school, Tim played, soccer, baseball tennis and basketball. He was named 1st team all-conference in soccer his senior year and selected as MVP of his soccer team by his teammates.

He was recruited to play soccer at UNC-Asheville, but attended Fayetteville State University where he was part of the special teams unit and back up kicker. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education at FSU. While in college, Tim worked in promotions with both the Fayetteville Flyers and The Fayetteville Generals organizations.

Tim taught and coached a variety of sports with the Cumberland County Schools. He later earned his Master of School Administration degree from East Carolina University and his Ed. S. from UNC-Chapel Hill. He played one year of semi-professional football with the Fayetteville Ruff Ryders in 2005.

Tim has been an educator for 25 years as a teacher, coach, athletic trainer, assistant principal and athletic director. He is a member of the N.C. Coaches’ Association and the N.C. Athletic Directors’ Association. Tim is a two-time recipient of the Cumberland County Middle School Assistant Principal of the Year award. Tim lives in Fayetteville with his wife Amy and two children, Cobi and Brielle. The Lancasters are members of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.
